1911/2011 Barrel Fitting

Precision hand fitting of your 1911/2011 barrel is no simple task. We begin by centering the barrel in the slide and slowly removing material from the sides of the hood to ensure a tight “side to side fit”. Once we’ve ensured a nice solid fit of the hood width we move on to the hood length. This step is one of the biggest determining factors in barrel fitment, we slowly remove material until the barrel hood will slide up into place without any drag while maintain no play front to back when in full lock up. After the barrel is fit to the slide we continue to cut the barrel “Feet” to ensure proper fitment on the slide lock lever. After completion of this service you will have a barrel that is primed perfectly to wear in with live fire while maintaining incredible accuracy and zero slop or play.

We will not refinish a custom fitted barrel with cerakote due to the tolerances we keep when fitting.

We do recommend DLC / PVD Coating if you’d to add a refinishing service. Please keep in mind this needs to be added in at the time of order placement we cannot add DLC / PVD after you have placed your order.
